FootBizz is a B2B networking platform for the global footwear industry, connecting manufacturers, wholesalers, and retailers in one place. Built on a React Native mobile app, a Next.js/React web app, and a Node.js backend, it handles content sharing, in-app chat, follows, and subscription-based promotion, the same core toolkit LinkedIn uses for professional networking, purpose-built for footwear-industry search and discovery instead of generic profiles.

Background

Groovy Technoweb built FootBizz end to end: mobile (React Native), web (Next.js/React), and backend (Node.js), sharing a single API layer across both clients so feature parity between mobile and web didn't mean building everything twice. The platform's core technical challenge was search: manufacturers, wholesalers, and retailers all need to find each other by different criteria (product category, region, order volume), so the search/discovery layer had to support multiple facet types without becoming slow as the catalog and user base grew.

Challenge

Multimedia-heavy B2B networking (product catalogs, real-time chat, follows, secure subscription payments) at scale means the media pipeline and the search index both have to hold up under load, not just look good in a demo. We handled multimedia uploads through a dedicated processing pipeline (not inline request handling, which would have blocked the API under load), and built chat and follow/like activity on Node.js's event-driven model so real-time features stayed responsive as usage grew. The result is a platform manufacturers, wholesalers, and retailers actually use to find each other, not just browse.
